Florida’s “Friday Night Lights” recruiting event got off to a productive start Friday with a commitment from 2022 4-star in-state running back Terrance Gibbs. After that commitment, Dan Mullen’s program picked up two more pledges for the 2023 and 2024 classes.

After Gibbs, the next commitment came from 2023 wide receiver Raymond Cottrell. Out of Milton (Florida), Cottrell is listed at 6-2, 203 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 12 wide receiver, No. 15 Sunshine State recruit and No. 76 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. Cottrell has picked up 11 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
