Florida adds to 2021 class by landing commitment from ATH out of Georgia
The Florida Gators picked up a big win over Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon, and that led to a win on the recruiting trails.
On Sunday, the Gators picked up commitment No. 7 for their 2021 class, dipping into Georgia to land a talented athlete.
As you can see below, ATH Chief Borders out of Powder Springs, Georgia, announced via Twitter he was committing to the Florida class:

Dan Mullen welcomed Borders to the 2021 class with a tweet, as you can see below:

Borders has yet to be rated by the major recruiting services, but he plays outside linebacker.
The Gators now have 7 players in their 2021 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 6 in the nation and No. 1 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
Good luck Chief, wish you could have earned a UGA offer.

Congrats on winning the natty.
So UGA dominates UF head-to-head, has the most SEC titles and just spanked the lizards for the 3rd time in a row.
But UF has a more recent NC; wow you really got me there!!!!
24-17 Chump
That’s NC’s plural and depends how far you want to look in your rear view mirror. While it’s nice to say your school won some titles way back when it doesn’t compare to having actually lived thru the accomplishment. Probably a little like looking at a copy of Playboy as opposed to having actually dated a playmate.
Congrats Mullet, another excellent zero star in the fold. Note to self…stick to recruiting transfers.
But kidding aside, congrats to chief, Lots of upside to this 16 year old kid. He’ll end up at least a 4star and hopefully he’ll most likely flip when the other big boys come a calling.
Yes he’s got you there. Because…….
1) we got bored winning SEC championships in the 90’s
2) Got used to winning National Championships in 90’s and 2000’s.
We see things differently than you and you just don’t get it.
When you complete #1 I’ll listen.
When you get #2 a couple of times I’ll pay attention w respect.
Until your a winner on that level you’ll never understand
#1980.

For an old dude, your hashtagging skills are righteous.
Don’t know what # means but sometimes you just gotta go with it, lol.
#G. It just means Goober.
Check out his offer list on 247. Looks like he has one from UGA.
Can’t post links on this site, but it can easily be found by searching Google.

LOL
To be fair the dynasty thing is more than just beating Florida. Guess Joe Marks is right and that’s all that you guys can look forward to.
Let me know where I can venmo the single malt
Joe Marks is right, who gives a ratzarse about a wimpy natty, I’d rather win the Florida state championship!
Somehow I just knew there would be Georgia troll comments on this article. Don’t have a clue why he was offered, but apparently Ohio State offered him too.
Somebody apparently sees something.
UGA offered him as well. Check the 247 offer list
Holy crap. His offer list has been updated. Has 25 schools including Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Auburn and Michigan.
And incidentally, many high value juniors don’t have star ratings because they simply haven’t been evaluated yet.
Yep – funny that the UGA troll and sometimes troll/sometimes alright poster were talking trash about him when Kirby offered him as well.
You would think with a name like Chief he’d be a SpearchunkerU signee…the Vegas over under for how long he stays committed to UF has been set at 14 months. I’m in for 50 on the under…
I’ll take that bet for sure.
