Florida announces 4 players out for UT Martin game
Florida will be down a few defenders against UT Martin.
Prior to kickoff, UF informed reporters that two players were suspended and two others were out due to injuries.
DL Luke Ancrum and DB Brad Stewart are both suspended for Saturday’s game. Stewart, widely viewed as Florida’s most talented safety, also missed the Week 0 game against Miami due to suspension. Fellow S Jaewon Taylor and versatile defender Amari Burney (listed as an ATH on the official roster) will not play Saturday night due to injuries.
The absences should not have a big impact Saturday night against UT Martin, but Stewart’s status is sure to be a storyline heading into Week 3 when the Gators travel to Kentucky to open SEC play against the Wildcats.
Florida vs. UT Martin kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will air on ESPNU.
