Excited to see what the offense in Gainesville looks like under Dan Mullen? You’ll get your first glance at 2018 QB signee Emory Jones running it Saturday, April 14.

Florida just announced that will be the date of Mullen’s first Orange & Blue spring game. After the last spring game was on Friday, it’s nice to see the Gators move the game back to its traditional Saturday spot.

A line from Florida’s release may have even taken a shot at Jim McElwain’s decision to hold the game on a Friday. You be the judge:

UF’s annual spring game returns to Saturday afternoon for the first time since 2015 with the intent of allowing fans to experience a real Gators game day.

Mullen provided the following statement with the news:

“What an exciting weekend this will be for Gator Nation. I can’t wait for our staff and players to be back home in The Swamp. Gators, we need to you to come out and support our top-ranked baseball, softball, tennis and track and field teams that weekend while also packing Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on that Saturday.”
