The Florida Gators and UConn Huskies haven’t met on the basketball court since the 2015 season, a game which the Gators lost in Gainesville.
However, fans will get to see those two non-conference foes do battle again next season, as they’ve agreed to a home-and-home series.
Per a release from Florida, the first game will be in Connecticut this November, with a return trip to Gainesville the following year:
Florida and UConn have agreed to a home-and-home series over the following two seasons, beginning in Connecticut on Nov. 17, 2019, and wrapping up in Gainesville in the 2020-21 season.
The Gators are only 1-3 against the Huskies all-time, losing to UConn in the 2014 Final Four. Their lone win came in the first meeting back in 1994.
No matter the all-time record, this series will be a lot of fun for fans of these two accomplished programs.
