The Florida Gators basketball program received good news on Sunday afternoon.

Denzel Aberdeen, a 3-star guard recruit in the class of 2022 from Orlando’s Dr. Phillips High School, announced on Twitter that he has committed to play for Florida and head coach Mike White.

Aberdeen posted the news on his Twitter account on Sunday afternoon:

According to Jeff Goodman of Stadium, Aberdeen also visited schools such as Oklahoma, Georgia Tech and Texas Tech before committing to the Gators. Aberdeen had 24 offers in total, according to Rivals.

Florida went 15-10 (9-7 SEC) last season in White’s sixth season in Gainesville. The Gators offered Aberdeen on July 31.
