Florida suffered a tough loss at home on Saturday, falling to Missouri, 38-17.

After the game, Gators coach Dan Mullen discussed the rough loss.

“Obviously a disappointing performance from us,” Mullen said at his postgame press conference. “That’s on us, that’s on the coaches. …

“Harsh reality for us as a team. A little bit of a reality check for the guys. We might have a little inflated opinion of ourselves.”

Mullen added that his team was “horrific” on third downs on both sides of the ball.

Feleipe Franks was benched during the game as the Gators brought in Kyle Trask, who threw his first career touchdown pass. Mullen did not elaborate on what the quarterback plan will be moving forward.

“We weren’t moving the ball very well,” Mullen said. “We’ll see how they perform this week.”

Florida will look to bounce back when it hosts South Carolina next Saturday.
