Florida DB Jaydon Hill scored the Gators’ first touchdown of Saturday’s homecoming game against Mizzou.

UF had a 3-0 lead after its first 2 offensive possessions. The Tigers faced a 3rd-and-6 in the first quarter when QB Brady Cook got picked off by Hill, who returned it 49 yards for the first TD of the game.

The extra point was successful, extending Florida’s to 10-0 in the first quarter.

Hill, out of Huntsville, Alabama, is in his fourth year with the Gators. He has dealt with multiple injuries over the past 21 months.

After taking a medical redshirt for 2021 and missing the start of the 2022 season, Hill finally returned to play for UF’s Week 5 game against Eastern Washington. He got a starting spot at cornerback for Saturday’s game against Mizzou.

Florida is still up 10-0 in the second quarter. The game is currently airing on ESPNU.
