Florida DB no longer with team, per report
Florida has reportedly lost some depth in the secondary.
Elijah Blades, who transferred to Florida from Texas A&M earlier this year, is reportedly no longer with the team. G. Allan Taylor of The Athletic shared the news on Twitter.
#Gators reserve CB Elijah Blades is no longer with the team, per a source. He wasn't dressed Saturday against Vanderbilt. The grad transfer from Texas A&M enrolled in August and appeared in three games.

Blades graduated from A&M and transferred to Gainesville back in August. Blades had committed to Florida and then-head coach Jim McElwain back in 2016 when he first came out of high school, but then decommitted before National Signing Day, pledging to sign with Nebraska before he ended up at Arizona Western Community College.
Blades played in 6 games for the Aggies back in 2019, then he sat out the 2020 season and declared for the NFL Draft before changing his mind, entering the transfer portal and landing at Florida. Now, apparently, he is no longer part of Dan Mullen’s team.
