Florida’s defensive secondary took a hit to its depth in recent days if posts on social media from Kamar Wilcoxson is any indication.

Wilcoxson on Instagram wrote, “I’ll be back in 2022 to give y’all the summary,” while he wrote on Twitter, “God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers. I’ll be back stronger than ever.”

Wilcoxson was a 4-star recruit, according to 247Sports, and reclassified to join the Gators as a member of the class of 2020. This apparent injury comes after Florida already lost Jaydon Hill this fall camp to a torn ACL. Florida already has plenty of inexperience opposite Kaiir Elam at defensive back, and this will accelerate that youth movement.

Wilcoxson played in 1 game last season against Missouri and made a tackle and a fumble recovery.
