Early in the first quarter of Saturday’s home game against Florida Atlantic, Gators defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard went down with a right knee inury.

Bullard was trying to fight off a block during the Owls’ first series before stepping wrong and hyper-extending his knee.

The Bednarik Award winner walked on his own power off the field, but took a ginger stroll to the Florida locker room.

After being checked out, Bullard returned to the sideline and a protective sleeve was put over his knee for precaution. He is expected to return according to SEC Network sideline reporter Laura Rutledge.
