Florida expected to be without starting OL against Mizzou
Florida will be without a key member of the offensive line on Saturday against Missouri.
Left tackle Austin Barber will miss the game due to an upper body injury, 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported Saturday morning. Barber has started in 9 of Florida’s 10 games this season and will leave a hole to be filled on the offensive line on Saturday.
The Gators are looking for a win that would make them bowl eligible, but it will be a tough challenge against Missouri. The Tigers are coming off a dominant win over Tennessee last week and are looking to keep their foot on the gas to close out the season. Florida played well against LSU last week, but the Tigers offense proved to be too much. The Gators will need a big game to pick up a win on the road.
Things don’t get any easier next week as Florida takes on rival Florida State. The Seminoles are undefeated and will likely stay that way heading into next week’s game.
