Feleipe Franks is set to transfer from Florida after 4 years with the Gators football program. Following a redshirt year in 2016, he took the starting role in 2017, followed by a 2018 campaign that saw him throw for 2,457 yards and 24 touchdowns versus just 6 interceptions.

A broken ankle this season against Kentucky, though, meant that Kyle Trask would be forced to step in, with Franks opting to either use his final year of eligibility elsewhere or pursue a potential entry into the NFL Draft. Despite his injury, he will go down as a valued member of the Gators during his time in Gainesville.

On Monday, Florida fan SauceTape released a highlight-filled tribute video saluting Franks and thanking him for his time with the program.

It appears that Franks himself enjoyed the video as well after watching it later in the day:

Franks’ next destination, professional or collegiate, isn’t yet known and probably won’t be known for some time. However, he’ll always hold a special place in the hearts of Gator fans everywhere, while we’re only left to wonder what the future would have held if he had remained healthy throughout the 2019 season.
