Anthony Duruji announced Friday that his time at Florida has come to an end. Duruji shared on social media that he is entering the 2022 NBA Draft and hiring an agent, forgoing his remaining college eligibility.

Duruji was classified as a fifth-year player for the 2021-22 season. He began his career at Louisiana Tech in 2017. After the 2018-19 season, his second at La. Tech, he transferred to Florida. Duruji sat out the 2019-20 season while practicing with the Gators scout team, using a redshirt while ineligible under NCAA transfer rules.

At Florida, Duruji was a multi-year starter. This season, he averaged 4.1 rebounds and 8.6 points per game on 53% shooting from the field.

Duruji had the option to return to college for a sixth season using the NCAA’s blanket waiver for 2020 due to COVID.
