After a season at Florida, Tuongthach Gatkek will look at making another transfer. The 6-9 forward is reportedly in the NCAA transfer portal.

Gatkek’s decision comes 3 days after starting guard Tyree Appleby entered the transfer portal. Forward Anthony Duruji recently announced he was declaring for the draft and hiring an agent.

Gatkek joined Florida ahead of the 2021-22 season, transferring from Trinity Valley (Texas) Community College. With the Gators, Gatkek appeared in 21 games. He averaged 1.7 points and 1.8 rebounds over 7.7 minutes per game. Gatkek’s playing time increased during a January stretch in which starting big man Colin Castleton was sidelined with injury.

When it comes to Florida’s roster, all eyes are on Castleton, who tested the NBA Draft waters in 2021. He’s reportedly weighing whether to return and play for new head coach Todd Golden or go pro.
