It is still unclear if Florida will have Tyree Appleby and Omar Payne available for Sunday’s game against Oral Roberts as the Gators play for the chance to advance to the Sweet 16.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported on both players’ status on Sunday morning: “Florida’s Tyree Appleby (head) will be a game-time decision for today’s game against Oral Roberts, per a school spokesman. Omar Payne’s status is a “coach’s decision” and is unlikely to be determined until game time.”

Appleby took an elbow to the face, and left the overtime win against Virginia Tech. After he received stitches, he wore bandage, and returned to the bench but did not re-enter the game.

Coach Mike White held Payne out of the Virginia Tech game, and the coach said it wasn’t overly difficult, and that it was the, “right thing to do.” Payne was ejected from the SEC tournament quarterfinals early in the second half last week for a flagrant foul 2 after he elbowed Tennessee’s John Fulkerson.

The Gators will take on 15-seed Oral Robers in the Round of 32, a game set for 7:45 p.m. tonight, airing on truTV.

The Golden Eagles beat Ohio State in their first-round game, also in overtime, to claim the program’s first NCAA victory in 47 years. ORU became just the ninth No. 15 seed ever to advance.
