Florida jumps in front of Georgia on 43-yard DJ Lagway TD set up by Devin Moore INT
Florida has scored the first touchdown of the Cocktail Party clash in Jacksonville to jump in front of No. 2 Georgia early in the 2nd quarter.
The Bulldogs broke the scoring ice with a field goal in the 1st quarter. Early in the 2nd quarter, back-to-back big plays for the Gators swung the momentum.
UGA was 4 plays into its third possession of the game into UF territory when Carson Beck made his first mistake. Devin Moore snagged the interception to give the Gators the ball.

The Gators decided to take a big shot, and it paid off in a big way. Freshman quarterback DJ Lagway’s second completion of the day was to speedster Aidan Mizell for a 43-yard touchdown.

The touchdown gave Florida an early 7-3 lead. UGA looked to be driving to take the lead back before Beck threw his second interception of the first half. Aaron Gates came up with the pick to give Florida the ball back with the lead.
