Florida added a 4-star in-state prospect to its 2022 recruiting class when Terrance Gibbs announced his pledge to the Gators.

Gibbs made the announcement while on UF campus for the Friday Night Lights recruiting event. The Winter Park standout shared the news by tweeting a link to a Gainesville Sun article with his commitment video.

Listed at 6-feet, 190 pounds, Gibbs is rated 4-stars, the No. 17 running back, No. 24 Florida recruit and No. 187 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite. Gibbs picked up 28 scholarship offers before tearing his ACL and missing his junior season. In June, he visited Florida, LSU, FSU and Tennessee.

Gibbs could be the first running back out of high school to sign with Florida since Nay’Quan Wright in the class of 2019. The Gators added Lorenzo Lingard and Demarkcus Bowman via the transfer portal in the classes of 2020 and 2021.
