Florida lands highly touted commitment on Christmas Day
You can bet Jim McElwain and his staff are celebrating this one.
Four-star offensive lineman T.J. Moore committed to the Gators on Christmas Day, and Moore released the news on his Twitter handle.

The Charlotte, North Carolina, product is a major commitment for the Gators, especially being an offensive lineman, an area that will need depth and improvement moving forward. Moore is rated as the state of North Carolina’s No. 6 overall prospect and the country’s No. 30 offensive tackle.
Florida has had decent success in the state of North Carolina, recruiting-wise. Former QB Chris Leak (Charlotte) and former OT D.J. Humphries come to mind, but the Gators actually don’t have anyone listed on the current roster from North Carolina. Moore attends the same high school that Humphries did.
Moore is a former South Carolina commit.
Jim McElwain and his staff have been somewhat criticized for their lack of elite commitments over the last couple of seasons, but hopefully, Moore’s commitment will help tilt the pendulum and give the Gators some much-needed momentum heading into National Signing Day.
Here are Moore’s junior highlights:
Was going to commit to Tennessee until he realized he was the backup plan for Trey Smith.
He also wants to win a championship instead of battling UK and Vandy for third place in the East.
Well then why did he pick Florida, the team that allowed 35 unanswered to Tennessee as a part of the supposed #1 defense in the country.
I think Teez just found his jock from that move that Jennings put on him.
That time you trash talk Florida and watch them tip toe through the tulips to your Conference Championship game because your team is a walking cliche’.
