Florida is entering the Todd Golden era after Mike White left for Georgia, and that means changes are coming in Gainesville.

On Tuesday, the Gators lost a key commitment from a 2022 in-state forward.

As you can see below, it was reported by On3 Sports that 5-star power forward Malik Reneau, a native of Montverde, Florida, was decommitting from the Gators:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Reneau is the No. 4 power forward in the class of 2022 and the No. 8 overall player from the state of Florida.

Where he ends up next remains to be seen. It’s possible Golden manages to convince him to recommit to Florida, but Reneau will take more time to explore options moving forward.
