After less than 2 weeks committed to Florida, an offensive lineman just down the road from UF campus has backed off his pledge to the Gators. He appears to be headed to another in-state program.

Offensive tackle Tommy Kinsler tweeted early Saturday morning that he has decommitted from Florida.

Kinsler is out of Trinity Catholic in Ocala, roughly 40 minutes south of Gainesville. He pledged to the Gators back on June 19.

In between his commitment and decommitment, Kinsler visited Miami.

Multiple 247Sports analysts have now logged Crystal Ball predictions that Kinsler will commit to the Hurricanes. Listed at 6-6, 330 pounds, Kinsler is rated the No. 78 offensive tackle, No. 127 Sunshine State recruit and No. 892 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite.

Florida is down to 8 commitments in its 2023 recruiting class after Kinsler’s announcement.
