Florida is 1 of 3 programs still in the mix for 4-star linebacker Aaron Chiles Jr.

Chiles announced his finalists on Tuesday. He’s also still considering Michigan and Maryland.

Here’s his announcement:

Chiles is a Maryland native, so the Terps are a hometown option for him at the next level. He’s from Olney, Maryland, and is listed at 6-foot-3, 220 pounds.

He has become an important target for Florida in this cycle. He’s currently ranked as the No. 75 overall player and the No. 6 linebacker in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 1 player from the state of Maryland.

Chiles is expected to take official visits to both Florida and Michigan later this month. His visit to Gainesville is scheduled for the weekend of June 16.

Florida has 8 commitments so far in the class of 2024. The group ranks No. 11 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
