The No. 10 Florida Gators got off to a big start in the NCAA Tournament by defeating No. 7 Nevada 70-61.

Where was this Jalen Hudson all year?

Aside from making shots, Hudson was a major catalyst for the Gators diving for loose balls and making smart plays. Hudson scored 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting. Kevarrius Hayes added a team-high 16 points. Keyontae Johnson added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Hudson gave the Gators momentum at halftime with the buzzer-beating jam:

At one point, Florida had an 18-point lead, but Nevada went on a huge second-half run to cut the lead to two points. However, Florida made some plays late in the game and held on for the narrow victory.

Nevada’s Cody Martin scored a game-high 23 points. His twin brother, Caleb, scored 19 points.

Florida advances to face the winner of No. 2 Michigan and No. 15 Montana Saturday.
