Though they went to rival schools, RB Emmitt Smith (Florida) and DB Deion Sanders (Florida State) ended up on the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL and had a great deal of success together.

Now they’re both Hall-of-Famers, and it’s clear Smith still had a great deal of respect for his former teammate.

As you can see below, Smith took to Twitter to congratulate Sanders on getting the Jackson State head coaching job. He also joked about potentially being Sanders’ RB coach:

Sanders is still working on putting together his coaching staff, so we’ll see what sort of coaches he can get to join him in Jackson.

For now, though, he’s certainly making waves in the coaching world.
