One Florida OL is reportedly no longer with the program as a result of a medical hardship within his family.

According to Jacob Rudner with 247 Sports, offensive tackle Kiyaunta Goodwin is no longer with the program due to a medical circumstance. Rudner reports Goodwin’s mother was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Goodwin’s mother lives in Louisville, Kentucky, and he reportedly determined it would be best to return closer to home to focus on his mother’s care. He is also expected to apply to the NCAA for a family hardship waiver in order to transfer close to home and continue his football career.

Goodwin is listed at 6-foot-8 and 340 pounds out of Charlestown High School in Indiana. He was rated as a 4-star recruit and the 38th overall player in the country for the 2022 recruiting class per the 247 Sports Composite.

The highly-rated Goodwin spent his freshman season at Kentucky before transferring to Florida. His departure is a hit to Florida’s depth along the line, but it is certainly important for Goodwin to make the move that is right for his family during a challenging time.
