Florida’s 2022 recruiting class is on the upswing, and the Gators added another key piece on Wednesday afternoon.

Dan Mullen and his staff didn’t have to go far to land this player, either, as the latest Gator commit is 4-star WR Jayden Gibson.

Gibson announced his decision CBS Sports HQ on Wednesday afternoon.

“A program I feel like is up and coming. Great receivers already there. … As well as a class that’s full of great receivers already committed,” Gibson said while explaining his decision.

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Gibson is the No. 26 wide receiver in the 2022 class and the No. 20 overall recruit from the state of Florida.

The Gators now have 15 players in their 2022 recruiting class. Prior to Gibson’s commitment, the class ranked No. 15 in the nation and No. 5 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
