Followers of Florida football fashion may be in for another season debut. A Gators player hinted on social media that UF will be sporting the white helmets on Saturday at Vanderbilt.

Freshman tight end Jonathan Odom posted a white helmet on his Instagram account. Dan Mullen’s squad has worn the traditional orange helmets in all but one game this year. UF wore throwback blue helmets against Missouri.

Florida’s white jerseys have so far been accompanied by orange helmets in all road games. Every away uniform combo though has been unique in the pants department with the Gators sporting orange (at Ole Miss), white (at Texas A&M) and blue (against Georgia in Jacksonville) bottoms.

The Gators last wore white helmets (with blue jerseys and white pants) at home against Vanderbilt on Nov. 9, 2019. Florida won that game 56-0.

Florida wore its orange home jerseys (with orange helmets and white pants) for the first this season last week in the 63-35 win over Arkansas.

Saturday’s UF-Vandy game is set for a noon ET kickoff in Nashville.
