Freshman quarterback Jalen Kitna was booked into the Alachua County Jail on Wednesday afternoon, according to multiple reports, including Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times.

The charges were not immediately reported.

Kitna appeared in 4 games this season, and completed 10-of-14 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown.

Kitna, the son of former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, was a member of the 2021 recruiting class. He is from Tacoma, Washington, and played high school football in Texas. Coming out of high school, he was rated the No. 44 QB in the country according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings

He did not take the field during his true freshman but became the backup to starting signal-caller Anthony Richardson during the 2022 season.

Kitna went in the game last week against Florida State when Richardson was sidelined for a few plays because of injury.
