Florida on Monday picked up a transfer portal commitment from former Ivy League quaterback Aidan Warner. Warner announced the news on his X account Monday evening:

It’s a homecoming for Warner, a native of Winter Park, Fla., just outside Orlando and just under 2 hours from Gainesville. He was a 3-star recruit in the class of 2023 with offers from Arkansas State, Brown, Coastal Carolina, Dartmouth, Delaware, FAU, Holy Cross, Miami (Ohio), and UConn, and ultimately signed with Yale.

He did not play in 2023 and opted to enter the transfer portal. The Gators ultimately extended an offer on Dec. 30 along with Miami (Fla.), but on Monday, Warner chose to play for the Gators.

As a redshirt in 2023, Warner has all 4 years of eligibility remaining. He joins a Gators program that finished 5-7 overall and 3-5 in the SEC. After losing their season opener, they won 5 of their next 6 and briefly found themselves ranked in the Top 25 before dropping their last five games/
