It was an impressive start to the 2020 season for Florida last Saturday, as it had a huge offensive day in its 51-35 win at Ole Miss. The Gators put up a school-record 642 yards of total offense, led by 416 yards and six touchdowns through the air from quarterback Kyle Trask.

Now, the Gators will be looking to bring all that offense back to Gainesville.

On Saturday, Florida is set to play its home opener against South Carolina at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. And it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the Gators will be donning a traditional uniform combination for the contest — orange helmets, blue jerseys and white pants.

With its win over Ole Miss, Florida moved up from No. 5 to No. 3 in the AP Top 25 poll, marking its highest ranking since October 2012. Now, the Gamecocks will be looking to solidify that spot with a win over the Gamecocks, who Florida has beaten in four of the past five meetings between the two schools.

But it hasn’t been too long since South Carolina notched a win over a top-three team in the nation. On Oct. 12, 2019, the Gamecocks beat Georgia, which was ranked No. 3 at the time, in double overtime, 20-17.

Florida will be looking to prevent an upset when the two teams kick off Saturday at noon ET on ESPN.
