Florida reveals uniform combo for Saturday's game at Texas A&M
Dan Mullen’s No. 4 Florida Gators are off to a 2-0 start after a season-opening win at Ole Miss and home-opening victory over South Carolina. The Gators are back on the road this weekend, going to College Station to face the No. 21 Texas A&M Aggies.
For Florida football fashion followers, the team has revealed its uniform combo for Saturday. To go with their road white jerseys, the Gators will sport blue pants and their traditional orange helmets.
By going with the blue pants, UF won’t be repeating its look from the last game (orange pants in Week 1 at Ole Miss) or last time in College Station (white pants at Texas A&M in 2012).
Saturday’s game, set for a noon ET kickoff airing on ESPN, has numerous storylines of intrigue. Florida QB Kyle Trask, from the Lone Star State, revealed that he comes from a family of Texas A&M fans and was named after Kyle Field, the Aggies’ home stadium. In a Mullen-less era of Florida football, current Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher dominated the Gators, going 7-1 against UF during his FSU tenure. Saturday will be the first time Mullen and Fisher face off as head coaches.
