Though the Florida Gators’ season isn’t over just yet, RHP Brady Singer learned what his next career move will be on Monday night.

That’s because the talented right-handed hurler was chosen by the Kansas City Royals with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft.

Singer was previously drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the second round of the 2015 Draft, but chose to attend Florida instead.

This year, Singer is 11-1 in 14 appearances, all of which were starts. He’s thrown one complete-game shutout as well and has 98 strikeouts in 95 innings. Opponents are hitting only .188 against him and he’s issued only 19 walks all year.

He fell a little bit after being projected by many to go in the top 10, but now he has an MLB team, and he could rise quickly through the system.
