Watch: Florida sends strong message to LSU on Vine after big win
After weeks of growing tension between Florida and LSU due to the rescheduling of Saturday’s game because of Hurricane Matthew, the Gators defeated the Tigers 16-10 in Death Valley and clinched the SEC East.
Prior to the contest, LSU AD Joe Alleva had expressed his belief that Florida was trying to avoid playing the game because it would help them in the division race. In short, the Gators were afraid to play the Tigers because they thought they might lose.
With the outcome now known, Florida had a message for Alleva and LSU. The Gators aren’t scared of anyone.
Well maybe they are still a little scared of the Hogs ! Woo Pig !
Maybe not scared, but y’all definitely got our ass.
Florida really working to stir the pot after this one. You’d think they came in and beat us by two scores, not held on to the win with less than a yard to spare. Really not remarkable football at all. And based on this game, they think they are ready for Bama?
LSU won’t be waiting until 2019. I think they will be happy to get their revenge in the Swamp.
Florida was a huge underdog….The fact they beat you at all should be considered remarkable football…..Especially after all the $hit talked by LSU fans..
Wait, your talking trash after LSU hyped themselves up for this game? Two TD underdogs? You should be talking trash to your AD for adding fuel to the fire. Scared to play LSWHO. We won with backups, I don’t even know why LSU fans are commenting.
Not trash talking, just an observation. Never seen so many post-game “statements” or “taunts” or whatever – the song, the tiger skeleton, the flag in the end zone , this video. If y’all came in and dominated, fine, fair play, but you have to admit that’s not the case. Like ol Nick says, “act like you’ve been there before.”
I have no problem saying the better team won, fair and square.
What do you expect? LSU was feeding a narrative that Florida was scared. LSU players were talking cap prior to the game…… Seems like the LSU players are now quiet. Florida deserved to rub it in.
Oh, and yeah, Aleva needs to go.
As a Tennessee fan I’d recommend calling this butt hurt hotline. It’s gotten me through some tough times! Best of luck👍🏼

“Really not remarkable football at all.”
Playing on the road at Death Valley (respect)
13.5pt underdogs
Playing with 2nd and 3rd stringers who
– opened running lanes against the LSU defense to the tune of more yards than Guice and Fornette combined (and that’s accounting for -20 yds on our QB getting sacked)
– stopped LSU on 6 tries from 3yds out or less
and bottom line – WON the game AT your field. Go ahead and try to make it the loss sting less, tell yourself that LSU lost the game (how many points did LSU score for us?). But the fact remains, the Gators WON the game, and they earned it.
ahh… I’m so hard again after replaying all of that in my head.
BTW, what’s the record for the longest TD thrown in Tiger Stadium? I heard it was a ‘remarkable’ 98 yd pass, by a second string QB to a true freshman WR.
moving along, apparently nothing to see here either.
Yes, fair enough, of course you earned it. I’m not here to say you didn’t. I’m commenting on these videos. I’m sure it’s mostly SDS perpetuating whatever will get them hits, but still think I’ve never seen anything like it after a game.
“opened running lanes against the LSU defense to the tune of more yards than Guice and Fornette combined (and that’s accounting for -20 yds on our QB getting sacked)”
That’s a creative stat line, really only reflective of a single drive where we had lost our star LB (if you wanna talk about backups). Sure, it was a big statement, very timely, and Scarlett is a helluva RB. We had more rushing than just Fournette and Guice contributed, and your total team yardage was closer to our rushing yardage than to our total team yardage.
“A single drive where we lost our star LB.” YES, let’s talk about backups real quick… Florida was down their TWO star LB’s who will be in the NFL next year. Both replaced by freshman.. Top 3 tacklers out also a workhorse d-lineman… just stop…
