After weeks of growing tension between Florida and LSU due to the rescheduling of Saturday’s game because of Hurricane Matthew, the Gators defeated the Tigers 16-10 in Death Valley and clinched the SEC East.

Prior to the contest, LSU AD Joe Alleva had expressed his belief that Florida was trying to avoid playing the game because it would help them in the division race. In short, the Gators were afraid to play the Tigers because they thought they might lose.

With the outcome now known, Florida had a message for Alleva and LSU. The Gators aren’t scared of anyone.
