“However, after much prayer and many conversations with my family, I have decided it is in my best interest to decommit from The University of Florida,” Jackson said in his post.
It’s a huge loss for Florida after what was a disappointing season. Jackson is considered to be the No. 44 defensive lineman in the country and the No. 52 player in the state of Florida by 247Sports composite.
It adds some extra hurt to Florida fans that Jackson is a local athlete from Gainesville.
Standing at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, Jackson is sure to be a force for whatever program he ends up landing at.
With offers from Arkansas and Kentucky, there is a good chance Jackson could end up playing at a different SEC program. Jackson also has an offer from Miami.
