Florida suffers first decommitment since Dan Mullen firing

Jamarrien Burt was the first commitment Florida lost since the firing of Dan Mullen on Sunday, as he announced the news on social media.

“Due to difficulties and Florida is coaching staff I will be the Opening back up my recruitment,” he wrote on Twitter.

Burt committed to Florida in June, and is a 6-foot-1 and 175-pound athlete and 3-star athlete out of Ocala, Florida (Forest). He has a reported 13 offers, including several from the SEC. He is the No. 98 player in the state of Florida, and the No. 47 athlete in this class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Burt left the Florida class with 12 commits, as it’s ranked No. 9 in the SEC, and No. 23 in the country.
