Florida made LSU pay for a muffed punt early in the fourth quarter, finding the end zone to take a 20-13 lead over the Tigers with just over a minute played in the final frame of regulation.

It started when Chimere Dike muffed a punt from Blake Ochsendorf to start the fourth, with the Gators recovering the football at the Tigers’ 45 to set up excellent field position.

Two plays later, with the Gators facing a second-and-2 at the 37, DJ Lagway faked a handoff, stepped up into the pocket to avoid a sack, and found Elijhah Badger with a pass just short of the end zone:

Ja’Kobi Jackson did the rest, punching it in from a yard out to put the Gators ahead:

It’s been a tug of war at the Swamp between both programs that have seen their respective coaches draw criticism.

The Tigers, once in the College Football Playoff picture, are looking to avoid their third straight loss. Meanwhile, the Gators have lost their last 2 games as third-year head coach Billy Napier faced a much hotter seat than Brian Kelly before he received a vote of confidence from athletic director Scott Stricklin.

Florida began the day at 4-5 (2-4 SEC). LSU entered Saturday at 6-3 (3-2).
