A day after picking up a defensive commitment, Florida’s 2022 recruiting class has lost an offensive pledge.

Tampa tight end CJ Hawkins announced Thursday that he has flipped his commitment to Stanford.

A 3-star prospect out of Berkeley Prep, Hawkins is an intriguing prospect. The 6-7, 220-pounder did not play high school football until 2020. Despite his football experience, Hawkins’ 247 Sports recruiting profile shows 29 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Per 247Sports, Hawkins also has basketball scholarship offers from basketball offers from USF, Western Michigan and IUPU.
