Saturday night was a big night for the Florida Gators football team, as it got a huge win against South Carolina, 41-39. The win was the first time under Billy Napier that Florida has won a game that it wasn’t leading after the first quarter. Getting a win of the magnitude is huge for a coach looking to get a program to old glory days, and is definitely worth celebrating after.

After the win, the Gators blasted a Williams-Brice Stadium favorite, “Sandstorm,” from their visitors’ locker room.

It has been a tough start for the Gators in the Napier era, but this was the type of win that is needed to help take that next step. Since the season-opening loss to No. 16 Utah, the Gators are 5-1 in their last 6 games.

The Gators will be off next week, but there isn’t much time to enjoy the win because they have a daunting test in 2 weeks. Florida will be taking on Georgia in a rivalry game where the two schools can’t even agree on the amount of games played. The Bulldogs won last year 42-20.

However, if the Gators are able to get the win in 2 weeks, there is a good chance that locker room celebration will be even bigger.
