Florida’s offense will be a bit shorthanded on Saturday vs. Vanderbilt, according to a report.

Per On3’s Matt Zenitz, a trio of Florida offensive starters will not play in the game due to injury. The list includes running back Trevor Etienne, left tackle Austin Barber and center Kingsley Eguakun.

Etienne is Florida’s leading rusher so far this season. He’s carried the ball 60 times for 358 yards and 2 touchdowns so far this season. Montrell Johnson will presumably get an even larger share of Florida’s running back touches if Etienne is indeed inactive.

Zenitz’s report says Barber is “doubtful” to be healthy enough to face the Commodores. He has started at left tackle for the Gators in 5 straight games to begin the 2023 season. He also made 5 starts in 2022.

Eguakun has battled an ankle injury this season and has only played in two games for the Gators. He did play last week against Kentucky, but Zenitz’s report says he’s expected to miss the Vanderbilt game.

Florida will be looking to avenge its 31-24 loss to Vanderbilt from last season.

Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.
