Jackson is a 3rd-generation legacy Gator. His grandfather, Willie Jackson Sr., was one of UF’s first African-American football players on scholarship. Kahleil’s father Willie Jackson Jr. and uncle Terry Jackson played for Florida under Steve Spurrier.
Kahleil Jackson has been with the Gators since 2020. He made his college debut in Florida’s 2021 season-opener against Florida Atlantic.
Last season, Jackson played in 6 games, recording 2 catches for 43 yards. His first-career reception came in Florida’s game against Eastern Washington. Later in the season against South Carolina, Jackson logged a 23-yard reception, his current career high.
With the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for 2020 and a redshirt season in 2021, Jackson has 3 seasons of eligibility remaining. He is considered a redshirt sophomore entering 2023.
