One of Florida’s wide receivers is planning to enter the transfer portal.

Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman, a 6-foot, 200-pound sophomore out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is moving on from the Gators and heading to another program.

Chiaokhiao-Bowman took to X, formerly Twitter, to announce his decision to leave the program.

Chiaokhiao-Bowman committed and signed with the Gators in June 2022. He only appeared in a few games in his two seasons for Florida. During the 2022 season, the sophomore had seven receptions for 138 yards.

The Gators’ top receiver this season was senior Ricky Pearsall, with 65 receptions for 965 yards and four touchdowns. Freshman Eugene Wilson III was next with 61 receptions, 538 yards and 6 TDs.

Florida (5-7) ended its 2023 campaign on a 5-game losing streak, missing out on bowl eligibility. It’s the third-straight losing season for the Gators.

Head coach Billy Napier has an 11-14 record so far with a loss in the Las Vegas Bowl in his two seasons with the Gators.
