Florida redshirt freshman wide receiver Andy Jean has elected to enter the transfer portal, according to a Sunday report from On3Sports.
Jean was a 4-star recruit out of Miami and has appeared sparingly over two seasons with the Gators.
To preserve his redshirt, Jean appeared in 4 games in 2023, finishing with 6 catches for 97 yards to go along with a pair of kick returns for 44 yards. He then appeared in the team’s game against Mississippi State this season but did not register in the stat sheet over the course of the 2024 campaign.
Jean was highly sought after coming out of high school, meaning that his transfer portal recruitment may follow suit if teams still view the 6-foot-1 target in the same light.
He received offers from the likes of Florida State, Miami and South Florida for in-state options, but he also held offers from teams such as Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee.
Florida finished the regular season on a 3-game winning streak. The 7-5 Gators await their bowl assignment.
