One Florida wide receiver appears to be leaving the program to finish his college football career elsewhere.

Hours after Florida’s 41-15 Peach Bowl win over Michigan, sophomore WR Daquon Green tweeted:

Thankful for all the time I spent with my Brothers and coaching staff that taught me so much knowledge that I know now. I Thank You!!! Forever 🐊💙🧡

While Green’s tweet does not use the word “transfer,” multiple reporters say the sophomore is leaving the program. In November, Thomas Goldkamp of 247Sports reported that Green has entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal.

Green has played in five games during his two seasons at UF.  While appearing in two games last year prevented him from redshirting, he could take a redshirt on the 2018 season after playing in only three games (thanks to the new rule). A product of Tampa Bay Tech, Green was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2017 with 17 other scholarship offers, including Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.
