There’s an old saying “don’t poke the bear.” Perhaps Kentucky players should learn to not poke the Gators.
Ahead of the Florida-Kentucky game, UK defensive back Kelvin Joseph got the attention of Gators receivers this week with his comments to the press and on social media.
When talking to the press, Joseph was asked about the challenge of facing Florida’s bigger pass-catchers. He responded by saying, “the biggest challenge to them is going to be facing me.”

Joseph also quote-tweeted a Florida staffer’s post about the receiving corps and implied the Wildcats were going to provide lockdown coverage.

Copeland was one of nine Gators to catch a pass Saturday, recording a 42-yard reception in the third quarter. Kyle Pitts was on the receiving of Florida’s longest pass play, a 56-yard touchdown where he burned – who else – Joseph.
Kyle Trask, Emory Jones and Kadarius Toney combined for 314 passing yards on Kentucky’s pass defense, which was ranked No. 1 in yards allowed (222.8) in the SEC entering the game.
