Florida WR set to miss remainder of 2024 season with knee injury
Florida wide receiver Kahleil Jackson will miss the remainder of the 2024 season with a knee injury.
Multiple outlets broke that news on Friday afternoon. According to GatorsOnline’s Keith Niebuhr, it’s believed that Jackson tore his ACL during practice this week.
Jackson shared this image on Instagram earlier today following his surgery:

Jackson made 1 catch for 13 yards in Florida’s loss to Miami back in Week 1. He was not listed on Florida’s updated depth chart that was released earlier this week.
Last season, Jackson made a career-high 21 catches for 251 yards and 1 touchdown. He was set to have a bigger role in UF’s offense in 2024, but this injury will delay any potential breakout to 2025 at the earliest.
Jackson is the son of former Florida great Willie Jackson. He initially joined Florida as a walk-on but has since been put on scholarship.
Florida has been battling the injury bug this week. The Gators will be forced to turn to 5-star freshman DJ Lagway as their starting quarterback in Week 2 as starter Graham Mertz remains out with a concussion he suffered vs. the Hurricanes. Billy Napier announced that news earlier this week.
Kickoff against Samford is set for 7 p.m. ET on Saturday night in Gainesville.
