Former Florida DB Keanu Neal is on the move. Neal is heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Neal’s agency shares that the deal is for 2 years.

Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette shares that the Steelers view Neal as a depth piece.

The Steelers will be the 4th professional team for Neal, who is entering his 8th NFL season. After playing at Florida from 2013-to-2015, Neal was selected No. 17 overall by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Neal played safety at Florida and has played that for most of his NFL career, earning PFWA All-Rookie Team recognition in 2016 and a Pro Bowl selection in 2017. In 2021, however, Neal moved to weakside linebacker for his season with the Dallas Cowboys.

Neal moved back to strong safety with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022. In his season with the Bucs, Neal played in 17 games, making 8 starts. Neal recorded 63 tackles, including 2 for loss, and 4 passes defended with 1 interception.
