Former Florida DB Marco Wilson is on the move.

Wilson has been claimed by the New England Patriots after being waived by the Arizona Cardinals.

Wilson played at Florida from 2017-to-2020. He was selected No. 136 overall in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Cardinals.

The 2023 season was going rough for Wilson. He was allowing 73.4% passes complete at 15.5 yards per complete, the worst numbers of his career. Wilson appeared in all 15 games for the 3-12 Cardinals, making 11 starts. Wilson’s snap count is down to 69% of defensive plays, after he logged 83% and 85% in his first 2 seasons.

Wilson’s best season in coverage was 2022. He posted 10 passes defended and 3 interceptions, both career-highs, playing in 14 games with 13 starts. Wilson also had career-highs of 58 total tackles with 2 TFLs.

The Patriots are 4-11 heading into a New Year’s Eve clash with division rival Buffalo. The Bills are 9-6 going into the game set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday.
