Former Florida and current Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler was thrown out of practice Thursday, according to multiple reports. Fowler was reportedly involved in a fight with Tampa Bay Buccanneers guard Ali Marpet during a scrimmage, according to Michael DiRocco of ESPN.

Fowler was also reportedly “slow coming off the field” earlier in Thursday’s practice, which caused concern that he had re-injured his left knee. However, DiRocco reported that he was “kneeling on his left knee” and that it “looks ok.”

Fowler missed his entire rookie season after tearing his ACL on the first day of mini-camp in 2015. He was selected No. 3 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft after a decorated career at Florida.

The St. Petersburg native recorded 60 tackles, 15.0 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, 17 QB hurries and two forced fumbles as a junior in 2014. He earned first-team All-SEC honors in his final season, as well as second-team honors in 2013.
