Former Florida WR Xzavier Henderson reveals transfer commitment
Former Florida WR Xzavier Henderson has found a home in the Big 12. Henderson is heading to Cincinnati to continue his college football career.
Henderson made the announcement on his Instagram page in a story post.
Henderson departed UF after 3 seasons. The younger brother of former Florida CB CJ Henderson, Xazvier Henderson was a 4-star recruit, ranked the No. 60 prospect overall in the Class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite. He signed with Florida over 24 other offers.
With the Gators, Henderson made 35 appearances, recording 73 catches for 835 yards and 5 TD. In 2022, Henderson led the Florida offense in catches with 38. He was third on the team in receiving yards with 410. His 2 touchdowns tied for third.
Henderson is the third Florida transfer to land in Cincinnati. He notably reunites with former Florida QB Emory Jones, who is entering his “COVID year” as a 6th-year senior. Former Gator DB Jordan Young also transferred to Cincinnati earlier this year.
Hope he works out in Cincy, he didn’t do much in Gainesville
Hey Cojones, you did it again! Leeland is gonna be envious.
I know but lets not tell him
Cody Jones…………….. A reciever needs a QB!!!! If only he had stuck around for the Mertz show!!!! I don’t have a clue how long florida will stay down. So I’m getting my shots in now!!!!!!
PS. Honestly its going to hurt waaaaay more if florida improves. Has a real shot and yet, still loses to georgia!!!!! LOL

Re unites with Emory Jones, that is some funny sheet right there
Cody Jones…………… Why are florida fans mad at Emory Jones??? Y’all poked fun at him and demanded Anthony Richardson get his spot!!! He was a 5 star QB coming in to florida!!!!! If you ruin DJ, if he actually comes to the gators. You would probably never get another elite QB for 10 years or more!!!!!
PS. DJL is a 5 star dual threat QB, exactly like Emory Jones was!!!! Go look at Emory Jones high school highlights of before he came to florida!!! He was a can’t miss recruit!!!!

Jones was a can’t miss recruit just like Anthony Richardson is a can’t miss NFL 1st round DC. Let’s wait and see how that one plays out.
Being a blue chip recruit just means the kid has potential. Potential alone doesn’t guarantee performance. If it did, Jamarcus Russell would be an all-pro NFL QB, instead of the washout he turned out to be.
But…..Emory sure missed in Gainesville. His H.S. greatness did not translate into SEC greatness.
Follow UGA troll logic AFan. EJ was “ruined” just by playing ball in Gainesville. He’s not responsible for his own poor play, even though he was coached by QB guru Dan Mullet.
ASU can’t be blamed either for his poor play there last season and Cincy won’t be to blame when he plays poorly there next season.
See how UGA troll logic works? It’s all Gainesville’s fault.
Emory Jones was never a five star recruit in any rating service. Why do you always need to make up sheet
Cody Jones……….Want to bet your life savings on that???? He most certainly WAS a 5 star!!!! Dan Mullen admitted as much!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS. Not certain of his FINAL RANK, but you said he never held a 5 star ranking!!!! You are wrong!!!!!!!!!!

If Jones was ever a 5-star recruit, he wasn’t one when it counted most, on signing day 2018. Each of the four major recruiting services rated him a 4-star QB, with ESPN ranking him highest at #59 nationally and 247 lowest at #173.
Best of luck to him and hope he finds success
Interesting that Henderson’s transfer portal entry was greeted by SDS writers and UGA posters as more evidence of a five-alarm dumpster fire at UF, as Sunbelt Billy was chasing off another top level talent. Now, he finally lands somewhere and it turns out not one SEC team was interested in signing this “sure-fire” starting WR.
I wish Henderson the best at his new school, but nobody is ever going to confuse Cincy for an SEC program.
One thing we can agree on…Cincinnati knows what C F P stands for. That’s probably why he went there. UGa didn’t want him and that would have been his best chance via an SEC team…so he went with plan B, smart kid…
Kentucky and Ole Miss would’ve made the CFP too, had they played Cincy’s schedule. So, their making the CFP as a G5 team isn’t too impressive to SEC fans.
It wasn’t that UGA alone had no scholie for Henderson. Kentucky and Ole Miss didn’t offer him one either.
They make good chili up there.
They sure do! You think Henderson and Jones like chili?
