Florida adds future non-conference game to the program’s schedule

The Gators have finalized the program’s 2023 non-conference schedule as McNeese has been added to the lineup.

Florida now has four non-conference matchups on the books for the 2023 football season with a trip to Utah and home games against McNeese, Charlotte and Florida State closing out the out-of-conference slate.

News of this matchup was first reported by Kevin Kelly of FBSchedules. Florida is set to pay McNeese $500,000 for making the trip to Gainesville in 2023.

“We are very excited to get an opportunity to play a program like Florida,” said McNees AD Heath Schroyer to confirm the news to the American Press. “It is a great chance for us to showcase our football program as we continue to rebrand McNeese athletics.”

  • at Utah on Sept. 2
  • vs. McNeese State on Sept. 9
  • vs. Charlotte on Sept. 23
  • vs. Florida State on Nov. 25
